Selling a domain name by auction

1. Submit your domain names
You can submit domain names for auction at any time by selecting the appropriate option from the 'account' menu. To submit a single domain for auction, click the 'account' button (which appears at the top once you are logged in) and select 'auctions - add new' from the menu. To submit lots of domains (in batches of up to 300) select 'auctions - add many' from the 'account' menu.

Choose your required auction type from the following:
Consignment auction: This type of auction lasts for a fixed period from when the first bid is placed. You are not obliged to accept an offer below your reserve price. If an offer greater or equal to the reserve price is made, you must accept the highest bid at the close of auction.

Fixed length auction: A fixed length auction starts as soon as it is submitted and lasts for a specified period. As with a consignment auction, you are not obliged to accept any offer below the reserve price, but you must accept the highest bid at the close of auction if the reserve price is met.

Open auction: With an open auction you can invite all offers, or offers above a specified minimum. There is no obligation to accept any offer, and the auction can last as long as you wish. Naturally, you can choose to accept an offer at any time.

2. Sit back and wait
With the Names123 automatic bid notification system, there is no need for you to make repeated visits to the site. Whenever a user places a bid against one of your names, you receive instant notification by SMS to your mobile phone and by email.

3. Modify auction
Unlike other online domain auctions, with Names123 you can login to your account and change the details of an auction at any time. The only restriction is that you cannot alter an auction type, or a reserve or minimum price, once bidding has begun (to be fair to the buyer).

4. Seal the deal
At the close of auction, if a sale has been made, contact details of the buyer will be automatically sent to you. At the same time, your details are passed on to the buyer. If you wish to involve a third party to ensure the transaction proceeds smoothly, Namesco Limited would be pleased to help.
